For me, this is a wistful piece, not necessarily indicating one's terror, but perhaps the half-depression, half-relief of having woken from a bad dream, with the knowledge one may have to suffer through it again. I have recurrent nightmares as well.

The last I had was interestingly a zombie apocalypse, and my father had been turned into a mindless beast that was trying unsuccessfully not to eat me, until I bit off a piece of his nose (no blood was involved), pried open his mouth, spat it in, and said, "You idiot -- I love you!" He grumbled back the same, surprised, and I locked him in a closet to set out for a cure.

I'm not sure what it means, but this song would suffice for how I felt.

Frontpage well deserved. This is a short but moving, joyous piece, carried by not only your sense of rhythm and excellent writing, but your light, free vocals. Great work :)

Sounds like a mix of synthwave and really slow 90's club. Vaporwave verb feel. Really dig it

Super cool bass you designed. I would say it needs to come down a dB or two and add a sub under it but otherwise really nice, driving track!!

Interesting but pretty random. I like the 808 drum elements. Those sound good. I'm very confused on a lot of the wooshing and the piano seems not to really go with the rest of the song. I recommend maybe some study on YouTube of music theory and song structure, and I think your ideas will start to come together nicely. You can also follow bedroomproducer's blog to get some new instruments that will help you along the way -- there are plenty of free instruments available online

Sounds about right! Reminds me of olskool WaveRace OST

Really pretty chords. Smooth. I think your pulsing gated chords could come down a bit, as could your lead, since the rest of the track is so quiet.

thank you for the feedback!

Lots of really cool ideas here. I think it could be benefited by some study of song structure and more typical production -- YT is wonderful for this. But otherwise it reminds me of olskool videogame soundtracks

LeanYeenMachine responds:

Thanks for the feedback and the follow! I'm going to keep looking into the things you suggested.

Really cool concept for a track, and good writing, however the output audio is distorting really badly. See if you can turn it down some in LMMS, then use another editor like audacity to amplify it if needed. I really like that you used samples of your own voice. Super indie producer thing to do and keeps things interesting.

Tristanlagreato responds:

Thank you! ^_^ Sorry about the volume/distortion, I tend to listen to things on my headphones really quiet, and so I make things high volume so I can hear it. This is actually a kinda old song, believe it or not. My new songs are better, but I haven't posted them here yet, they're only on SoundCloud so far because I'm new to Newgrounds. I decided to post this on here so long after making it was because I thought Newgrounds needed more royalty free music, and also that I wanted to see how well my song would do. Thank you for your feedback! ^_^
