[Plasmaticification]

Cool

The bass synth is awesome. The only really terrible thing I find wrong with it is a few note discrepancies and the string synths, which chopped up the flow of the song. The piano and bass part around 2:00-ish was soothing though, and that makes up for it. Some EQ would be nice though. It is pretty static-y, nothing I can't put up with though.

As for throwing the rhythm off, no, it's perfectly fine. I definitely think I like your later songs better though, which is a good thing, since it means you've improved. Good work!

Yeah, those strings were crap, I think they were some of the FL default samples :/
I only use VST plugins for strings and classical instruments, etc...
As for the EQ'ing I had no idea about it 'back then' but I'm trying to get into it now :P

Some of the notes felt like they weren't supposed to go together, but after a while of listening to them, it felt right. Good job. :)

This makes me want to dance.

I can't really criticize it much, besides the lack of a real lead melody over anything, but that doesn't really matter. It's cool without it. I wish I was capable of such weird awesomeness, what with my somewhat bland selection of synths and samples.

The synth at 0:41 is pure ear-crack, and by that, I mean it's just awesome.

Yeah, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing with this song, I'd just had a lesson from my friend about how to roughly make a song, then I just went mad making this o-e
That ear crack you're snorting btw, is the Sytrus default plugin, sorta moved on from that though but might use it one more time in another song mabey...
As for your songs, they may not be weird, but they show a lot more work and composure than this thing xD

Pretty strange . . in a good way

It's a little weird, like you said, but it has a vibe that I like. Your arpeggio-work is pretty nice, and so is the bass. I'm just not quite sure that they mesh too well. The synths at 1:48-ish mesh quite well. 2:10 has this sort of off key creepiness that I like. Weird . . I feel trippy after listening to this.

Good!

It sort of reminds me of a coldplay remix I heard a while back. If you need a vocalist, since I think using acapellas are not allowed anyways, I could look up the song and do some singing for you to chop up any way you like. I've just gotten a nice stage microphone and I'm currently building a shield for it. :)

Some more variation would be nice, but other than that, it's a pretty cool song. It's strange though, haha. The door slamming is epic though! Best percussion ever! I laughed until I cried.

Lol, the doorslam solo comes from 'After Lightning' when my friends were teasing me about my crap music, they'd immitate the doorslam sound, so ya know...

I'm highly confused now, but I like it

I think the vox is what kept me listening through this song. It's pretty captivating. The riffs are also nice. It sort of felt like you were fumbling around for a groove through most of it though. I still enjoy it, however, so you can relax. You didn't make it horrible. If you did, I wouldn't bother reviewing.

The piano in the back ground of this adds a pretty soothing effect to the song. It made the iffy transitions bearable, later on in the song. I just really didn't like the crashes. They seemed a little too early, too late, too loud, etc. I just thought they clashed with the song. The rest of the percussion is pure love though. I also like the gate effects you used. Now if only I could get my hands on FL, Nexus, and Vengeance, haha. You're honestly making me jealous. ;)

Yeah, I always use crashes because I dunno anything about transitions >_< As you said, probably should turn down the crashes as well...
As for the piano, I was trying to soften up the main lead and riff from the original song, but didn't quite have the same effect though.
If you're gonna get FL, you better start saving... If you're planning on buying legally...
