I can't tell exactly what's going on here, if the two headed snake is in the mouth of another snake with the boy, or what it symbolizes. I can make out a flashlight, stalagtites, and stalagmites, but that's about it. The piece is well put in thought, not as well done in essence. Snake, you'd think, would be slimmer, or at least have bigger heads in relation to that body, and possibly be hunched over the boy. I see a lot of opportunity for detail sort of smoothed over, and I think that really detracts from what could be a very clear, thought-provoking piece.

SoundBounce responds:

Okay thank you for the criticism. It wasn't really my art style just thought i'd have a go at something different. It is supposed to be a two-headed snake appearing from the back of a cave and the boy trying to hide from it. I'll try to improve on this art style because I actually really enjoyed it and maybe in the future I will have another try at this drawing. I also agree it could've had more detail but i was in a rush to complete one drawing so i could start another as I had a mass of ideas forming due to just receiving a Frawing tablet.

Christ, that's creepy. I don't celebrate Christ-mass. Rather, I'm of the Hebraic messianic persuasion, but this hearkens back to the Krampus tales I've heard. Super creepy. Also, great callback to Uncle Sam posters. Could use more finger though, and funky technicolor.

SoundBounce responds:

Yeh it wasn't supposed to be creepy buyt as soon as i put inlk on paper i realised how creepy it looked (but I kinda liked it). I was going to add the fingerbut thought it would over crowd it a wee bit as the face was a little bigger than i first intended. Some technicolor would've been a cool idea i may photocopy the picture at some point and add color to it.

This is where you shine. The guy looks like he walked straight out of Borderlands. The ghost lady, which I assume is who he's looking at, gorgeous form. The only thing I could criticize is the rather pale shadows and lack of contrast, but for a comic book print or western manga, this'd be stellar.

SoundBounce responds:

I didn't actually draw this I only coloured it in for the Jazza Challenge of the month (COTM). I did aim for it to be a very pale drawing to show the loss of his S.O.

I have to say, I really love the contrast and use of color in this piece. It's like a galaxy, but with the combination of cotton candy, MLP, and LSD. Diggin' it. The only thing I wish was cleaner was your line art. Some of the musculature of the unicorn isn't anatomically spot on. The knees and joints look somewhat uncomfortable. I recommend an anatomy study. Also, the black lines were a little distracting. My art instructor taught me to always avoid lines where possible and instead try to show off light and shadow. Living things don't have edges, he said. It's all shadow, reflection, and refraction.

SoundBounce responds:

Thank you very much for thge kind words on the colour. Yes i know i need to work on anatomy. I've never actually worked on anatomy until very recently and have never been taught it in school (we learn more processes of art rather than things like anatomy) so I am looking into some sort of class outside of school for me to learn more, so that i can improve on my art.

Looks like two spoons mating with a sink, coming out of cracked cheese, with the illuminati over in the right hand side, and the one spoon is happily ascending into heaven with a halo of soda bottles. Interesting.

KnackeredOcelot responds:

Wow man, thanks for all the feedback! I appreciate it. Just checked out your page, you got some pretty cool stuff. Keep it up :)

I'm not sure what's going on here with this expression, but it's giving me the gigles. I'd say, excellent with the colors, maybe needs a bit more work with the light refraction and distribution. Also could benefit from a little bit more contrast in the foreground. Still, much better than anything I could do.

KnackeredOcelot responds:

The original expression got lost in the process I think :p Thanks, all really good advice and I'm sure you could do way better :3

I'm not sure what's really going on here with ya boy's ribcage, or his shin hairs. Face kinda reminds me of a treecko. Would like to see this idea fleshed out a bit more.

KnackeredOcelot responds:

Yeah I have no idea why I even posted this, must of been bored. The design was intended for a ceramic piece I was working on that used natural disaster as it's main motif. The ribcage was ment to resemble a tornado and the "shin hairs" was ment to be like pant creases. I guess it dose look sorta like a treecko haha.

Why does this look like that one guy from The Room? Trippy.

KnackeredOcelot responds:

Haha, I made this to accompany a LOFI song I'm mixing that uses audio clips from The room. Thanks for the generous feedback

Digging the comic book panel look. Upper rope needs more attention to light.

Caustic-Imp responds:

Yeah, I didn’t really know what I was doing with this one. I like how the face turned out but the rest of it could definitely use work!

Ah, the classic prayer hands. Nice attention to texture and shading. Pinky on one of the hands is a little wonky, and the angle they come together is a bit funny, but I can't complain. I'm seeing a bright future if you ever decide to do commissions.

Kara-Jayne responds:

Ahhh thanks. <3 the picture was semi that way that I went off of in terms of the pinky.
