You have a good eye for values. I think the only improvement would be finer edges. My art instructor always urged us to try to avoid drawing lines if possible -- or if we did, try to make them imperceptible. Real life doesn't have lines -- just edges, he said. Values pop more, the less visible lines are.

Agreed on the lines. Upon first learning portraits, our instructor also said that a lot of our features aren't solid lines, to only draw a solid line if you see a very distinct edge to it.

I've already seen this one, and I think I already mentioned really digging your values. Really, the only thing I can see improving is some contrast in the hair, and a little shadowing on the face. You can probably cheat with a dark pencil and effect some hair fibers. It's a little rough doing fine lines with markers or pens. I really dig that this is traitional, not digital. There's something endearing to the medium -- plus, the originals sell really well.

This one is my current pride and joy. I"m a big Cisco Ramon/Vibe fan after starting to watch The Flash on TV, so lots of time was taken on it. Lots. I can see what you mean by the hair, even I could see it before you said so. But possibly using some gel ink pens in combination could achieve the right effect.

Cute! The little white outline around the edges where the transparency looks like it needs to be a little cleaner, though. Nice work otherwise. Shadowing on the thigh to our right doesn't seem to match the light source though.

Yeah I'm not sure what's causing that weird outline but it's something to look out for and I can totally see that the casted shadow looks off now X3 thank you for the critique!!

Good piece and coloration, but what significance do the hands and teeth have? Is the man a tongue? Is he inside or outside of the mouth?

Looks like a thumb with a crown and a pimple, but I'm blown away by the color and perspective. Nice work.

Looks like bubblegum. Love the texture. Could be more crisply defined but is nice and ruddy.

Good amount of detail. Although, that green fire has me scratching my head. I would recommend focusing more on proportion and light sources. The source in the eye is different than that on the body.

Like the attention to detail. Would have liked more color. Purple on purple makes the black a little harder to read than necessary. Different shades of purple could help.

Yeah I appreciate the feedback! I wanted to go for a picture that had the same gloomy look that Cathode Raybots had, and I've learned a few things as I did this. Mixing different shades is definitely something that I can focus on next time, thanks!
