[Strike Strikes Pt.2]

This isn't bad. Could use an overarching melody and a dedicated bass rather than just the single line arp. We get some atmospheric synths later but this doesn't do much for the track. Also, the super high pitched arp at the end is almost ear breaking for me. Overall, it was listenable, but not my preference.

Thanks I appreciate your critique, and yea melody seems like a good idea, i just didnt want to crowd the mix with too much going on, but i get your point.

And yea sorry about that ending, I tried to give it some kind of ending flare but i guess it didn't work out, but anyway your response is duly noted for a reference of some things i should and shouldn't do.

Not bad. Simple chord progression. Mixing isn't bad from what I hear. Progresses a little slow for my taste, and a lot of the instruments sound like presets. Crashes are too loud. Rest of the perc could stick out a bit more and be good. There just isn't much differentiating one part of the track from the other, no overarching melody, etc.

Thanks for the feedback! The instruments weren't presets, however some were derived from them as I'm not incredible at working with certain synths just yet. Cheers!

Tons of distortion in the mix. Fix that, and this might be alright. Just sort of feels overdone all over.

This is alright, but sounds really heavily compressed, lots of distortion -- mix is just too loud. Really seems to be no substance.

This is a fantastic rendition, a lot happier than the original. Almost wish they'd played this at my dad's funeral instead of an orchestral version. He'd have liked it better. Fantastic work.

This is pretty fantastic. Man, I would love to get a hold of this and lay something down over it. Would love to know any equipment, virtual amps, etc. Just sounds great.

I think i was using the Engl E530 preamp, into the back of a bogner power section, into a eminence 1x12, into sm57?
Guitar was probably Ibanez rg7320 with dimarzios.

This would be a fantastic mix if the mid and high around 4-10k were not so pumped up. Bring those down and my heart will be happy. Also, watch distortion on that piano part, or just distortion, period. There seems to be a little of it going on.
