Very interesting but not my genre of choice really. I think I hear a bagpipe.

Thanks for the feedback! There isn't a bagpipe, it's just screaming I fiddled around with in audacity
Brass sort of ruins it by just hanging on the same note. Rest sounds like loops. Was this made in Magix or Music Maker Jam? Sounds familiar.
Sincerely enjoying the plucky noises and arps. Very edgy, energizing, and fresh. What synths did you use? Absolutely fantastic stuff.
The crispy synths were from Harmor and Serum. Other softsynths used in here were Sytrus, Zebra 2, Z3ta+ 2, Beatzille, Oatmeal, SIDizer, Eclipsis, Absynth, ANA and Reaktor.
thank you for your review :D!
You're improving pretty rapidly! Only thing that could really use improvement is a bit less high end on the percussion overall, and a little more presence. Try sidechaining the kick and snare maybe. Does sound good, cute, sweet, etc., and I enjoyed it. :)
Voice is alright, but this is extremely short. More attempts would give a rounder impression of your voice. For an audition this would be subpar. Other than that, fine.
Sincerely enjoyed this, without my headphones as I am. Your writing is always superb especially with accompaniment and percussion. Everything flows as it should, and I have no complaints other than just not liking the FL Slayer guitar lol. Organ and keyed instruments really brings everything out, also.
It's alright, although you could really use a pop filter for your mic if you don't have one. Your vocals sound very fuzzy and lack clarity. I use a sock over a coat hanger and sock.
Track itself needs a bit of work as well. Mix seems uniformly EQ'ed, which is fine. Instruments themselves need to be moved around a bit in it. Basses are laying down in the mix. Pads and high ends are too loud and in your face in comparison. Reggae-ish guitar needs to be more spacy and fluid, sort of flowing in and out on either side with some reverb and perhaps chorus. Make it funky.
Also, your singing voice sounds as if you're just talking impassionately into the microphone. It may be that you are trying to sing a bit too low to resonate in your nasal passages. Guys struggle with resonance a lot more than women, I notice. Sing! And don't just sing like you speak. Give us a performance!
Woah. This reminds me of stuff I from the 80's, synth rock, almost, and maybe a bit of older N64 OSTs. Quite a well-mixed, melodic presentation. Enjoyed it thoroughly but wish it was longer. What sort of synths and FX did you use? Particularly that percussion? I like the snare. Wish it were slightly louder in the mix though.
Hi ! Thank you very much, your review are always constructive !
Yes, I tried to make a track in the eighties vibe.
The kick comes from http://rekkerd.org/disko-unkle-deep-kicks-free-sample-pack/
The snare is called "Born snare", but the link to this sample has been removed...
I can upload it in my dumping grounds if you want.
The other VST are Monopoly by Korg for the bass, Z3ta+2 by cakewalk, Sytrus, Alieno by Acrobatics and M-Phasewav by Tubeohm.
Not bad, and follows good structure, but the mixing of the vocals could use a bit of help. They're laying down in the mix compared to the perc and drop. Feels slightly lazy in that regard. Not bad though. Maybe compress the vocals more. Otherwise, nice.
Absolutely nailed it. I have no complaints minus that it could use just a tad better mastering. It's distorting in some places. Snare is a bit too loud -- that or the drums are in general and could use a bit less 30 hz there. Very pleasing listen. I'd love to know what kind of setup, FX, and plugins you got going on.
Thanks! And yeah, I kind of winged it on the master haha, I was listening to it way too much and I think I've given my ears sometimes and now I can go back and clean it up. As for my gear, I play a Schecter diamond series 7 string>POD HD>Presonus firepod>Cubase, with superior drummer and used Reason 5 for the strings and I forgot the patches I used oh that since I have a shit ton of them to go through lol. The Mastering plugin I used was Ozone. And the bass guitar I used was a cheapie pawn shop bass lol.
