Loving the calming sounds going on. The disjunctness of the song overall requires one to relax while listening. Sounds like an odd meter. I really, really would love if this were a loop, or if it didn't end so suddenly. Maybe play with that portamento-sliding synth a little more, especially the falls. Great atmosphere!

Keep up the good work!

bwmusic responds:

Thanks. Actually its just 3/4, but the drums get knocked back a quarter of a measure cause of a little anacrusiss. Planning to continue it (perhaps add guitar or sax), but just tossing up a sample

Revisiting your stuff after years of not listening and finding myself still in love with your arrangements of melodies and chord progressions. It never gets old! Sytrus presets of course were everywhere, but the arrangement transcended the instruments, in this case. Great work!

Percussion sounds more DnB than techno, but instruments seem to be staying close to home. Good work. I like the progression.

Thank you!

Nice! Sorry to see you got yourself a spam review. Not sure if the vocal track is copyrighted or not, but it's a damn good track, except for the as mentioned lowered vocal track.

JBeat2k9 responds:

Hehe.. It happens man. Thanks for voting this a 5! I really appreciate it!

The vocal track is copyrighted, but due to the terms in the creative commons license, which is what I've released this on, I'm allowed to use it for non-commercial purposes. I haven't, nor will I ever receive a penny for this remix.

I'll be re-rendering this track with higher quality, louder lyrics as soon as I can! Sorry that they're so quiet! xD Thanks again, EDM364!

Loop isn't quite perfect, but very beautiful piece. No comments on the playing/writing -- pretty spectacular to me. What you could do to make the loops seem more natural in the future is take the excess sound after the point you intend to crop and hang it over at the beginning so that it fades into the piece -- sort of as if you'd stepped on the sus pedal and started playing the piece over but kept the second run through, if that makes sense. I do that with my loops quite often.

Stunning work! I look forward to hearing it in use!

Pretty good tune! I'm not a giant fan of the acid sound in the main melody normally, but you made it work pretty damn well. Mind if I ask the software/synths used?

I like the melody and spacious feel of the track. Just had some issues of flow in places -- wasn't quite sure where it was going. The almost wine-glass sounding key-like synth sounded a little generic, as well. Other than that, great track. Progressions and melodies were nice, as well as the addition of string synths, etc. Some crashes and hi-hats throughout would be a good addition.

Keep at it!

Never heard you speak before, but I have to say, this was quite perfect. Your voice worked very well for the characters. :)

Coop responds:

Thank you - I've been reading his work aloud for about 15-20 years, so I've had lots of practice

Good tune, with appropriately creepy bells. Sounds like a dungeon theme, almost. Great work!
