Pretty sounds! haha

This is a good song, in my opinion, but the background and percussion is slightly lacking. Still, it makes me want to hug someone. I'm guessing you mixed this on headphones? That could be why it's sounding weird to me, since I use a stereo system whenever I'm not on the go.

The chorus = eargasm, by the way, and the vox was pure awesomeness, despite being repetitive.

I hereby favorite and 5. :)

KI1 responds:

Yeah, my history with percussion instruments hasn't been so great I must admit.
I'm afraid I always mix all my songs on headphones :/ Don't wanna wake the family...
I tried to get as much vox in as possible, but that was all I could get without getting interference from the original song.
TY for teh fav :P

Not my style, but still pretty cool

I'm extremely disoriented as I write this, so I may leave something out. If I do, forgive me. For a first song, this is done very well. It makes me want to go insane in the good way, haha. It just has that vibe to it. =3

KI1 responds:

xD I honestly hate this song, my friends taunt me by beatboxing the drum beat.
I have made worse crap than this, luckily it's trapped in the confines of my hard drive.

Hmm....

It needs a bit of EQ'ing. The kick is squealing a bit, which any synth with bass tends to do. What you can do to prevent this is to make a separate track for the kick drum and EQ it in layers. I find that lowering the ranges under 64 Hz tremendously is a big help. Then you can beef it back up. Most of the kick is at about 70-ish Hz anyway.

Other than the mild headache inducing squealing, I like the song. Your lead is cool. :)

KI1 responds:

Yeah, I know what you mean, after looking back through the project file, it was the bass that made that squealing noise... I've stopped using that synth alltogether now.
But yeah, I'll be sure to try out your EQ suggestions :P

I'm confused, but I still like it

Some of the loops seemed very out of place here, mostly the underlying melodies, right around when the bassline came in. Other than that, it's pretty danceable, which balances out the bad points. It's good!

KI1 responds:

Yeah, after listening to it again many times, I see what you mean. Probably should double listen it before submission next time...

Hmm.. Relaxing. =b

You just earned yourself a download, hehe. I'm loving the bass synth here. It's the awesome sauce. The pauses threw me off a bit, sure, but not enough for me not to enjoy it. I'm beginning to think I'm going to like all of your stuff, lol.

5/5

KI1 responds:

Yay, a download :P
Yeah, this was originally meant to be an ambient song... but I just couldn't do it, so this is how it turned out I guess :P

Not bad. :)

The intro didn't put me off that much, just the hi-hats for some reason. Other than that, it's pretty well done. It's not bad. The bass was a bit detuned at times, however. That could just be the distortion and my speakers though. Nice work!

KI1 responds:

Heheh, thanks :P As usual, I have a problem with percussion instruments >_<

Nice! :)

I'm not really into hardstyle all that much, but something about this song just caught me. I'm not sure what it was. It could be the half gallon of coffee I just finished, or not. Either way, I like it. It gives me a strange feeling of falling when I close my eyes, haha. What program(s) did you use? Just wondering.

Anyway, comment and . . review back? *begging shamelessly* lol.

KI1 responds:

:D Glad you liked it, you're one of the few :P
Umm, I used FL Studio 9 XXL (don't ask me how I got it) as well as various plugins for it such as Nexus and the Vengance Electro sample pack.
I'll be sure to check out 'n review your stuff :P
And remember; those Indian slave children worked hard to bring you that coffee.

Nice!

Since NG apparently forgot how to give reviews, I'll give you my two cents. While it's not exactly my style, I like it. The bass and the chorus are pretty soothing. I was seriously hoping it wouldn't end. I still get a tad of an empty feeling when you introduce the SFX stabs though. I like the chorus and harmonics, it sounds really good. I believe some solid underlying bass would be a good coupling for it.

If you want to get that deep feeling, some low bass drops and more percussion would be good to add in. Great song; I'm sort of inclined to try my hand at remixing it. :)

FlawlessNJ responds:

Thanks, check out my new song ^^

For some reason, I like this better, lol

I think your cymbal loops are much better in this version than the remix. Nice piano synths, btw. It's very groovy-ish.

shazzka responds:

lol yea this versions addictive. The reason the cymbals are better in this is coz i used a diferent program to make this.

thx for the review :D

Not bad, but this isn't really my style . . .

I'm all for the progressive thing you have going there, but I do think the riff in the beginning needs to be a lot more aggressive . . . Well, overall, the whole song needs to be more aggressive. I just think it needs to pack a lot more punch than it does as it is. The melody should only sound a little louder than the accompanying bass line and counter melodies. Your melodies stick out way too much for my taste. Nice arps though.

Also, the second little riff you had going, I think the second riff you had going on at about 1:16 seemed like it didn't harmonize well with the rest of the song in the last half of it's duration (you know the last half before it loops over) . . .

Good work anyway. You have some good ideas going on here!

thank you for the review.
