I like it, but the clipping mentioned earlier did detract a little, and the vocals weren't lined up impeccably with the synths. However, it's still very dancable, even if the vocals do feel a bit distanced from the rest of the track. Good producing overall!

EctiBot responds:

Glad you liked it Andrea :). Know what you mean about the vocals. I'm still experimenting on how to get vocals to sit good in the mix :). It's better than what I've done before, but I'm fully aware that this isn't perfect at all ;).
Thx for the feedback :). I'll be sure to take it into concideration for my next vocal track.

Interesting feel to this one. I actually don't mind the bass as is. It differentiates the song from a lot of others I've heard, in a good way. Very nice!

Kreyowitz responds:

Cool, thanks!

I like it! Not that I know much about GarageBand, but it seems like you're learning your way around it fairly well. Loving the lumbering tempo and 6/8 feel.

SusanMoon responds:

Thank you! I've moved up to Logic Pro now. :)

Interesting little analysis of distortion, it seems. I think I know this VST, haha, although it sounds more like a rhode/organ than a guitar. I could see perhaps a bass and keyboard. 00:24 reminds me of some effects NERO used to use -- or just a lot of mellower dubstep I used to listen to. Catchy tune, although the sudden forte at 00:13 scared the daylights out of me. Overall, nice!

Keep making music!

Stapless responds:

i used the rocker git on guitar rig 5 with hella lot of reverb haha, Nero is what got me into dubstep :D stil waiting for ther damn new album >:O

I don't think everyone here gets that not all dubstep is smash-in-your-face stuff; this is akin to a lot of the Euro step I've heard, far removed from the traditional brostep and mid-range growls you generally hear in America. The progression leaves a little bit to be desired, but once everything gets going, it's not bad at all. Sounds a lot more like hiphop here to me though. Perhaps that's just the trap elements. Favorited. :)

KI1 responds:

Thanks a lot Andrea :D I'm not sure what genre I was going for either, Newgrounds doesn't have a "idk lmao" category yet.
The main points I gather from these reviews is "more progression, less reverb."

Very relaxed, to me. The plugs do sound nice. Mind if I asked where you snagged those beauties?

Stapless responds:

the intro is done with the inbuilt sampler for bitwig layered with the Freak Ass Vibraphone and the Freak Ass Marimba. after that i got a sampler again with Nektar Piano, then the bass is done by NI Massive then bouncing, chopping, time stretching, reversing the audio clips. on the sends I got nice free plug called Ampllo2 for reverb, Valhalla UberMod, Valhalla Room for more reverb and Saturn, Trash, Camelphat for alittle distortion.

Ooh, very nice! I love the melody. Just won't get out of my head, haha. I can hear the waltz time signature -- just seems like percussion had its way with it. :P

metroidfannumber1 responds:

I don't know how this song happened. It was made in less than half a day. I was trying to reach this point with a lot of similar songs made my irem. And I was also using instruments and effects from several different waltz songs I found a long time ago which I constantly listen to.

Usually I make a lot of changes to a song but I never had to go back and change this one. I had a song made under similar circumstances that was never needing a changing too! But that one was really happy sounding. Probably because of my feeling of apologies.
