Felt like practically the entire song was buildup until 1:00. Sloth DJs would love this. The moment the bass came in, the sound waves started distorting. Check your mix. The hook was alright, but other than that, needs work.

Keep hitting that DAW until you make a hit. :)

JMSy responds:

sorry i shoulda stated its just an idea stage atm...its all about the build up the song is irrelevant..was just practising build ups...the bass kinda sounds distored due to the filter effect i believe or maybe its cause its a distored bass im using lol? Cheers for review though :)

Sorry to hear about your breakup, man. Hold on and push through.

On the song, I like what I'm hearing so far up to the one minute mark. It may just be the chord progression and the tendency to use strings that leads me to think of other tracks I've seen around the Trance end of the AP, but in short, it's nothing groundbreaking. However, it is catchy, and I like it. You may want to explore other chord progressions. The ones here are pretty common. Other than that, great! Your transitions were a little shaky at first, but it settled into a fine groove.

Keep up the good work!

JosephSINAASXx responds:

Thanks for the honest review pal!
Ill get through it in time.

I just really needed to produce something to take my mind off things.
Thanks for the advice and good review though, glad you enjoyed it!
I hope you'll stick around and check out my other stuff (:

Not bad, but it sounds very generic. Sounds like you didn't mess with modulation or anything really at all on the VSTs -- very stock sound.

Felocai responds:

Well I didn't really focus on that too much, I thought that these basic effects will fit and I dindn't want to change them.
Still I'll consider what you've said and try to play with that a little on another song.
Thanks for reviewing :3

Could really use percussion. Otherwise, not bad. Loop is imperfect, however.

KilerDiLeo responds:

I did my best... Still learning.

I might do better next time.

Sorry for the low score, but this isn't quite drum and bass, at least not yet. Interesting guitar synth. Sounds like String Theory 1.5 or String Thing. Overall good sound, just incorrect genre. I'd put it in Experimental or Misc.

Teckmo-X responds:

Actually it's a Drums & Bass project just haven't added the actual parts that's why it's just a demo of it. I'm actually working on 3 songs all at once right now and I don't know when I'll be done with all 3. Thanks for the feedback though. I'll keep in mind to finish this piece.

Loop isn't perfect, but I only noticed it the second time around. Good arrangement. I can see it working in a desert level. Loving the running 8ths in the bass too. :)

metroidfannumber1 responds:

Thanks. I was making this while working on a video. It was to pass the time because its taking forever to make. But lately I have been picking up the pace. The bass and drums are based on this song on a game called, "holy diver" which is on the first stage. I slowed down the bass and removed some notes and lowered it an octave to get the bass. The drums are the same for noise mostly and they were also influenced by r-type's remixes of their game themes. There's a video link to them if you want.

I never saw a soundtrack video for holy diver except the one I uploaded. And its just a remake not the actual thing which the drums have this fast part in them. You're better off running the .NSF file in an emulator.

Nice work! 00:52 threw me off, but then we came back to the main theme. Good track. :)

metroidfannumber1 responds:

Muy favorite part is when it drifts off! Like you just tele0ort away!

Really well done. Almost couldn't tell if the vocals were synthesized or not. I think so. Very nice job though. Everything is leveled well and written fantastically.

LawnReality responds:

Thanks! :)
The vocals are synthesized, yeah.

Amazing, monstrous bass. Really unique stuff here. Keep making music!

Excellent taste in music, by the way -- read your response. :)

Obelion responds:

Thank you! I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Although one could argue about the uniqueness as I tried to go with a very basic Neurofunk-Reese.

I assume you have a similar taste :) I love powerful sounds with an abstract feel to them.
