Okay, but your mixing is off. The bass is too loud at points, and there really isn't much going on melodically. Keep trying.

DontDreadOnDrew responds:

Okay, thanks for your input!

Isn't much to say here except that I moderately enjoy the sounds of distress, and I'm a little worried about whoever was just deepthroating a cucumber.

This sounds interesting, although the mixing could use a little help. The synths are a bit on the loud side, leaving the track top-heavy. Send me a PM if you like. I haven't done a collab in ... a long, long time, haha.

shinedrummer responds:

Yeah I didn't even pull this from the original source because I no longer have it and at the time that I made the mp3 file I hadn't mixed it. I pretty much just composed it inside the DAW I was using and sent it to my friend for a reference of where I was at lol. Thanks!

Decent. Arrangement is good. Synths themselves could use some more fine tuning and TLC. Volume leveling is somewhat wonky. Suggest listening to some more popular music in your genre and comparing the volume levels, mixing, and -- not necessarily the wobbles, but generally the effects used on the percussion, etc. Your drums are laying down in the mix and could use some sidechain to beef up their presence.

Interesting. Although the rolling reminded me of going down the highway with my head hanging out the window.

Not bad, cute little arp -- the drums could be more prevalent in the mix. Glitching is cool. Although I feel it would be more interesting if you had more going on than a single chord. There isn't a lot you can do melodically with one single chord. There seems to be no real chord progression, just key changes.

All these pretty transitions for clashing notes and keys and generic instrumentation. It all feels extremely heavy handed, and I wasn't able to finish listening. Just not my cup of tea. 1:10 was where you lost me. The clashing key and the glitching was just unnecessary, to me.

Actually, it's not too bad. You said this is an iphone app? Well, I suppose that negates a lot of my mixing considerations. I have no idea about mobile DAWs. You've made quite a catchy little creation here. Although I feel the keychange wasn't necessarily needed or transitioned well.

HyprdrivE responds:

That's what I thought about the key change. I was going to fix it, but then I kind of forgot about it. XD Anyway, thanks for the feedback!

Mixing is fine, but the damn dog barks were so prevalent, loud, and repetitive throughout that I did not even manage to finish the song before I was too annoyed to pay attention any longer. If you're gonna sample, be thoughtful and tasteful with it.

GPWDOG responds:

Shesh... im new... and young... but i can stop the repetitave barks then or quiet them... sorry bout that... thanks for the heads up!

I can tell you only spent 20 minutes on this. The mixing is horribly distorting, and the instrumentation is lacking. The melody is fine, but I'd take this one back to the drawing board if I were you. A good song doesn't just pop out in 15 or 20 minutes unless you're Lex Luger and have your beat making down to a science, or your music is just that awfully formulaic. I suggest studying your DAW a little more.
