Great!

This reminds me of the happiest days of my life. I'd give a ten even if it were'nt this good cause I love flash backs when I'm listening to something. I can't suggest any improvements except for to get a better piano synth and add less reverb or EQ it a little more when it's one of the only instruments playing. Less flanger on the guitar solo would be good. Other than those insignificant flaws, it is a very good song.

Soundshifter responds:

thanks very much. it is an old song, and my producing skills weren't as up to par as they are now. you learn as you go!

Nice

I like it, but the fast tempo and kick ruined it for me. I was digging everything else, but the kick... It just annoyed the hell out of me. I would have loved it had the kick not been so loud and off tempo. Everything else was fine. That's pretty much all the problems I have with it. This deserves the second spot. ^_^

HouseMasta responds:

sorry that the kick ruined it for you, but i liked the sound of that kick when i put it in. Im glad you enjoyed the song as a whole though :D

Cool

Sounds like a sad tech song to me. Could be used for a flash back, like jadog said. I'm putting this in my playlist now so I can play centipede or some other arcade game and listen to this instead of classic 8 bit music. I agree with IronRising on the thing with the background instrument being too prominent for this song. Overall, nice work!

wyldfyre1 responds:

the synth is what you guys were talkin about eh? LOL ok yeah. i'll probably end up changing that up or even adding effects in the long run so its not as bad as is now.

Very nice!

This was good from the beginning! It sounds both scary and at the same time, it draws you in to listen. I like the bass you used for this and the way you made everything fit together. This would be very good as a sound track. This is the best hip-hop song I've heard in a very long time. You should go pro. I like the static that you threw in at the beginning. This is going in my playlist, and never leaving from that sacred spot. You have me hopelessly addicted to your songs.

Winterwind-NS responds:

Merci beaucoup!
la seule commentaire descriptive lol
D'habitude, je ne fais pas les chansons de rap
The static in the beginning were samples of turntable needles scratching vinyl I believe. (Didn't know how to say that in french haha)
thanks again

Ooh, catchy!

This is quite simply one of the best 8 nit styled songs I've heard in ages. It loops pretty well, but there's a bit of a gap. I know, making loops is hard as hell, but i just though I should point that out. It's not enough to keep me from fifening, favoriting, downloading, and putting this in my playlist though. Very nice work!

Rig responds:

There isn't a gap - it's the NG player. :)

Great!

You definitely earned getting this on the Best of the Week. I can't point out any flaws. My guess is that anyone who can needs to get their head checked out by a professional psychiatrist. I like the nice open breezy feel you put into this. This is amazing.

Mrmilkcarton responds:

Does that mean I have to go to a doctor cause I know what flaws there are?

Good

Great job, and congratulations on getting it on the Best of the Week! The song is very sweet, even though the transitions between phrases do not flow very well. You should probably get a real bass player to play the bass guitar part. Synth bass just doesn't sound as awesome. I play bass and guitar, so it'd be a pretty easy task for me. I have an ear for notes and tone.

mjattie responds:

it are just four notes. Don't know exactly what you mean how that can be improved... It's not a hard piece, so... but if you wanna improve it, just send me a pm and I'll give you the .rns file

Good

This is a pretty cool song, but it could use some EQ'ing because yet again, there is static that I hear. The song is pretty good, but I'd consider this Trance, as it is pretty repetitive. Nice work on it though. Turn down the 32 K a bit though because the bass is giving me a head ache, and I'm sure it will give others a similar problem.

Dj-Ene responds:

Well I know most of my old songs sounds like shit :P. But I'm not gonna bother to redo them. review new stuff instead kk! :P

Very nice!

Nicely done! I never thought I'd catch myself enjoying a jazz song this much... Guess it's just the little nerdy band student in me. *shrug* Great work on the upright bass and brass, despite the latter sounding a tad fake. Good intro. This is very good compared to most of what I listen to, and it's easy on the ears. Sweet relaxed feel you have going on there. Awesome trumpet solo by the way. This is going in my playlist and it's not moving from there! =3

Setu-Firestorm responds:

Well, actually, the one solo was an alto sax, unless you were talking about the horn ensemble in the beginning. This actually is a cover of the music from "Super Mario RPG" on the SNES system for when you're in Booster's tower, but I thought it would have sounded interesting done in this fashion.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

Good

This is exceptional for a 2004 song, and even with a crappy vocaloid, it sounds awesome. I love it! This is amazing. You should make more! This will be going in my favorites and my playlist. Nice bass, by the way.

Setu-Firestorm responds:

I'm glad you liked it. From the days that I was stuck with the vocaloid, this was at least one of my favorite older songs.
