AP Mod Podcast Ramblings

Posted by ADR3-N - April 10th, 2017

EDIT: A lot of unforseen shit this month. On top of my wisdom teeth making me horribly sick with fever and chills, probably going to pack up and move house. Will know for sure by August. Podcast script and stats are written down though, and will be recording ASAP. I will also gloss over AIM. Lots of love, guys. Talk to you when I'm not pitifully sick.

After taking some time to think and not being able to use my recording equipment at all (house is too full and too damn loud to record decently), I decided to take a brief hiatus from AP Mod Podcasts. Just so happens I conveniently forgot to post about it in the midst of a lot of interpersonal social life drama, traveling out of town, etc., and that whole autism jig that went around not long ago.

Also, PC crashed while I had my notes open so I lost track of 300 or so song removals and 200+ bans from last month's records. That's the main reason I haven't posted a new 'cast. The bulk of thefts are still GD related, of course.

So, last podcast draft I rambled on at the tail end about that money-making thing I've been doing too, then remembered the AP is not the place to put ads, so I scrapped it. There was too much hard-sell feeling to me and not enough about modding, the AP community, etc, and there was a bit too much about people cutting trees in my neighbor's yard and I kinda went off about that, hah.

Anyway, the quality was awful since I pulled a stupid and tried to test out the factory sound recorder as well, and I know most of you wanted me to post it, but there really was nothing to talk about aside from that and it was hard to understand my consonants. I'm still using FusionCash and InstaGC and all that rot, but I can't justify talking about it past that last post I made. If I do talk about it more, I'll just post that crap on YT. I got tired of ad-like sellout content through my modding this past month. I may mention it, but nothing more. Got better shit to do, and you have better shit to listen to!

Also thinking of having a song feature at the beginning and end of each cast, as well as perhaps background music by request. Lemme know what you think, meantime.

I will be taking out some time on the 17th, God-willing, to talk more in depth about this month, the trends I'm seeing, etc., and I'll pull my stats from the date of the last post. I won't be able to say how many bans I've gone through, I don't think, but I do have accurate stats on how many songs I've had to take down.

Also, I'm still working on that album and getting more used to Vocaloid software, and that masterlist of tutorials and music related resources is still in the cards, despite JK disappearing out of nowhere. Feel free to send me stuff you think I might find interesting!

Love,
~A

That money-making thing you´ve been doing hmm? Curious. And they really should cut out the tree cutting thing too, slowly killing the planet, wiping away serene greenery as far as you can see just mean machinery glean.

Well, good to know why the cast didn't happen, and looking forward to the seventeenth then. Song feature sounds interesting, though maybe just end with one? IMO it'd be a bit strange with that long an intro on a podcast, but when it's over any length's suitable.

That's a fantastic point. I think I may do that. @Troisnyx's catalog has been on my mind for several weeks now. I figure I might as well spice it up every so often too. Her alias is a fun one to pronounce, too. :P

Money making thing, I think I posted about it a while back, a little guide. I could mention you in a comment on it, or you could skim my headers. It should be fairly obvious.

Lately there hasn't been much going on aside from my traveling about, Creator's Clubs, concerts, lots of tending to social life, discovering that I'm allergic to tobacco or whatever cigarettes are made of these days, which makes sense considering it nearly killed me when I was a child several times. Sort of a down period for me, really.

Despite me quitting music production I definitely am still working on that Massive post.

Have I already asked why you're quitting? It seems a lot of people are these days

Heh, yupp, hopefully not mispronounced too often!

Aha, that Microsoft Rewards and FusionCash thing, truly a very well-advertised introduction! :) Wonder if you've made any referrals since the post? I was pretty deep into that making-money-without-doing-anything dream a few years back, even started a blog to post about all the places I discovered so I could earn more via referals /cashyoulater.com), but after a while it felt like I was just pouring too much time into it without getting that much back, and it wasn't really... fun. I'd rather make money off of my own makings. Maybe the ones you found are better though, I don't think I had any that really ran on automatic. I tried paid forum posting, blogging, clicking, reading emails, watching videos, and TONS of pyramid-scheme-type referrals. I wish I was around when they first started growing though, it's harder to get a new network going with old products, could have had a chain of referrals below me that really run by itself. If you happen to stumble upon anything like that, that's new, that seems promising feel free to recommend, could help build the chain.

Creator's Clubs and Concerts doesn't sound all that bad? What happened when you were a child? I've actually never smoked, though plenty of other bad habits to make up for that...

I did make a couple referrals actually. Was pretty great. I'm making a fairly steady flow of cash from there. Not as impressive as I'd like but getting there. InstaGC is what I get the most utility out of actually, though. Lots of E-Gift cards and stuff. When I get another 20 dollars or so, I'm gonna snag a DI box. Then I'm looking forward to a POD Line 6, used, and a Schecter C-7. For what, you might ask? Metal production. Fixing Crown of Thorns will be my first priority. If you want a referral to anything for the hell of it, I'm game, but I feel dodgy about throwing them out there without people asking me for them first. Seen a lot of referral spam that was disingenuous in my day.

Creator's Club, we basically meet to exhibit our writing, art, and music once a week in a library. Pretty interesting crowd. Considering expanding it a bit and skyping people in. Will need to hook them up to speakers so people can hear them, ofc, and have laptops so we can see them. I've actually skyped in once or twice.

Childhood, well, what didn't happen? Haha. My mom smoked so much around me that I got double ear infections, a sinus infection, pneumonia, and nearly died. That's the short answer. We also found that I'm violently allergic to tobacco years later. Throat closes off. Restaurants with a smoking section are a no-no.

If you want a short answer: I lack the motivation and skill to force myself to try.
If you want a long answer: My latest news post explains a lot.

I'll have to check that out. Lately I haven't been able to be on as much as I should. Got a crisis at home and that's not counting serious wisdom tooth pain that's kept me up for days. I hope you don't stop producing completely though. I enjoy your work

hey you know what happened to this on the forum?

Seems to be fixed. Sorry. Was out of the loop today. My Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends are shot-full busy. Thanks for the heads up!

Also, happy Easter!

also, happy easter bruh.

Dang, your life seems rough.

I may not quit completely, but I do need some time to clear my head. Honestly I've been thinking about looking for better VST's. Massive is just honestly not that good.

I'm glad you like my stuff, I'm sure I'll make better stuff in the future.

Cool. :) Anything that makes you profit without me having to do anything, sure, send away. Was thinking more like: the next big thing business bandwagon referral thing, though. Like: if you find it feel free to send your link. Better jump on early and get the top pyramid spots before everyone builds their own. I don't really try to get any referrals myself right now, though have had a links section on my site, with a list of webhosting sites, and affiliate links for all of those that had such a section. Might have a few bucks lying around on those accounts. Need to check sometime.

Ah, nice. Is it maybe a club with a name/site?

Oh holy hell, woah, crazy childhood!! My mom stopped smoking years before I was born fortunately, not that I know I have any such allergies. Sounds like it'd be a problem waiting at a bus/train/something stop where someone's smoking then? How do you deal with stuff like that?

empty your inbox its full i cant send you anything

Done. Sorry, got a lot of mail at once!
