Update on my brother

Posted by ADR3-N - July 8th, 2014

Well, since the initial accident, my brother is pretty much okay, if a little bruised and banged up. I'd be surprised if he wasn't, seeing as all the seats were broken, only one wheel remained on his truck, and he was basically laid over on the console. Several other people were hospitalized, but luckily, he seems to be in better shape -- hearing this third hand from my mother; he's been a little busy with lawyers to talk.

Below is a photo of the accident and my brother's swollen, bruised leg. I can't even tell which one it is, but it looks like it got jammed into the console or something. Lots of fluid on it, as you can tell.

So there you have it, a car accident and a gross, swollen, bruised leg. That's what happens when you run a red light going a mile a minute and ram headlong into people -- and then cause a five or six car pile up on top of that. /soap box moment abruptly cut short

The lady was messing with her phone on the road, not looking where the hell she was going. Hope she gets the book thrown at her.

I am pretty sure seeing an acupuncturist might help with the leg! It is good to know that your brother is doing ok compared to the worst case scenario of what could have happened,

Thanks :) Right now he's got a blood clot, I just heard. They may do surgery. But definitely better than what could have happened! That's been on my mind a lot lately. I really just needed a space to get out my feelings. Thanks for reading!

I could relate with what you are going through. My mom this year had a major stroke and the surgeon believed she was going to be brain dead. Though within 24 hours my mom started to wake up and her MRI brain scan looks completely normal. The surgeon said it was a literal miracle. Making the story quick now she is recovering at home at a faster rate than the average person with a similar stroke. And I thank G-d everyday for this miracle.

I'm glad your mother is recovering quickly. My father had a similar incident with a stroke and is just now resuming normal life after two years of mild/moderate disability in addition to this. It's a straight up miracle she's okay, and I hope she stays that way! :)
