Yeah, but I had been asking for 3 years to get it. And..... I got a laptop and a few clothes and a trip to Haley's house to spend the night for 3 days. At her house we saw her boyfriend and his friend when they came over, went to a hounted house (zack ran into this big cabinet and Haley started freaking out and saying the house was going to kill us) and two days later spent the night at Russells house crammed into a one person bed (the three of us and me and Russell both wer wrapping our arms around her. She didn't know who's arm was who's.

Anywho, yeah, laptop rocks! I've been trying so damn hard to get my mom to get me one for my birthday, which is in less than a month, but we're like, poor and stuff, so I'll probably end up with nothing / very little. But at least someone's getting the dream gift, so I shall continue to be your Pocket-Tel, living your life vicariously through your tales, rather than my own.

I heard laptops are slower than desktops. Is that true?
Compared to some of the new desktops, yes, but that's mostly when you get a Tyrion (which is an athlon turned down a bit). Mine's an AMD 64 Athlon X2, which is a little outdated already, but it's faster than my desktop Athlon and my others combined (if you're counting proccessing power, space, and general speed) Plus it has more features and Vista (which has a few loop holes, but I've worked most out) The most important thing is, they're portable, have some SWEET features, AND they're pretty damn fast to boot

From your mini tutorials, I am guessing you have flash, right? How does that run on Vista? I've heard it has problems.
It works fine, as long as your security doesn't kill it before it starts up. If it does, you're screwed.
