Oh, as for the idea of actually hosting the AP archive btw, that'd probably require a dedicated server, which is even more expensive (or a VPS, but I don't know how to run one of those). Shared hosts typically have a lot of restrictions when it comes to file/download archives. Suppose the legal aspect would be the bigger one, though. :) In this bewitching get-richening world in which we live...

Indeed. Now, if you could hide it and reserve membership to known persons, I'm sure that'd cut down on the legal aspect.

Oh, that's a small slice of space for both big games and production! Seems like barely enough even for just the games, newer ones take up (at times it seems unnecessarily) incredible amounts of storage. Well, hope you find some spare drives. They go cheap second-hand on auction sites too, though best buy only from reliable sellers.

Indeed, NG's the humble one in the bundle, and I don't see that changing even if we'd become one of the giants. This place just thrives on dedication and community.

Re: server. Hmm that could solve legal issues, but still be a bit costly to run. Paid membership seems a bit excessive. ;) Maybe some day though. I mean: not paid membership, but maybe I'll have the fund to finance even things like this. Could be fun.

There's a little bit of swearing in this video, but you should give it a watch. It tells you in a nutshell why this is happening. You should understand that people have the right to protect their IP which is why I completely understand the changes in Newgrounds policy and I respect that. @TomFulp
