dang I know that feeling, I lost my Grandpa the week before the 2nd of this month.

I'm sorry to hear that. If you need an ear for any reason, don't be shy and shoot me a pm. I might not get to it immediately but sometimes talking to someone who is neutral and willing to listen can help -- even just typing it out, you know? I'm sorry for your loss.

You have my deepest condolences on the loss of your father, and wish you and yours a healthy transition.

Thank you, it's much appreciated. I'm sorry I haven't been in contact with you lately. Miss talking to you

My prayers are with you and your family during this time. Praying also for the repose of your father's soul.

I feel you in a way, I know what it's like losing a parent, but I haven't had a good run with mine.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I'm sorry you know the feeling, though. Even if you don't have a good relationship with your parents, it still is a hard pill to swallow, you know?

My deepest condolences. I wish you all the positive energy there is to get through this chapter of life. I think I speak for everyone that if you should need anything, even if its just a little talk, you can pm me/us if it makes you feel better.

I appreciate it. Coming back to NG and pursuing my music seems to help me cope with the pain

woah thats sad buddy so sorry to hear that.

Yeah, I'll live through it, but it's rough. I won't lie

Condolences EDM.

Thanks. I'm in major need of things to keep my mind busy, so if you see something interesting or want a review, let me know

I'm so sorry to hear that...my deepest condolences to you, buddy.

Thanks. I didn't expect such an outpouring of support from NG of all places. It's good to know that people are here. RL, people are just concerned about how he died. It gets either monotonous or hard to talk about without blaming myself in some small way

Sorry for your loss, 21 is way too young to be having to go through this sort of thing.

Thanks, Tom. Life is cruel and unusual at times. I'll make it though. The funny thing, he died on my (also deceased) stepdad's birthday, May 14th. My stepdad was about 20 years his senior, and the family stole half of what we owned, took our SUV, and tried to strangle my mother the same night, then disabled our car and evicted my mother at gunpoint down the road. They just recently stopped stalking us. Maybe Dad died on the 14th for a reason, to remind me that I've been through worse. You never know. I'll always miss him though.

Your tribute was short but powerful, I feel strangely inspired now. I hope you'll cope well with the grieving. My condolences and best of luck to you and your family.

Thanks. I wasn't trying to be inspiring so much as give good advice to others who could avoid the pain I'm feeling right now. There are things I've said about my dad I wish I would have just swallowed down and kept to myself, you know?

@TomFulp I know the feeling; I was 17 when I lost my mother.

@EDM364 Bitter pill or not... hopefully in time, the grief and the pain will heal. No -- I trust it will.

It will. It will just take a while. I'm gonna take a year off school. I'm neither financially nor mentally prepared for it after this

You have my deepest condolences, losing love ones is never easy. Specially the ones closest to you.
:(

I appreciate it. Thank you for taking time out of your day, even if it's only a minute or two

I'm sorry for your loss. :( I know what it's like to lose a parent. I lost my mom when I was 8. It's not an easy thing to go through.

I hope that in time your pain will heal and you can hold your head up high again sooner rather than later.

I'm sorry to hear that. I know that had to be rough and hard to understand. I'm 21. I just hope there isn't too much drama for me to deal with. My dad's parent's estate is not settled, so I will have to contend in that.

My condolences to your family. Whatever relationship you had with your father, I hope that at least he left a lasting impact on your life. My grandma currently suffers from dementia and is going away more one day at a time. Sometimes she remembers things, most of the time she doesn't. She is a far different person from the one I knew growing up. For our part, we are ready for the day, but it will still be hard. You have my prayers.

Thank you, I appreciate you sharing. Dad and I weren't always the closest, but I loved him a lot. It was hard because my parents were going through a divorce since I was 6 weeks old, and that was finalized when I was 5. Sometimes it would seem like he had completely forgotten I existed. Other times, I was his whole world, you know? But I hope things aren't too hard for you. My grandma had alzheimers. It was like watching her delete herself. She was a good woman though. I just had to remember that my memories of her would always be that, mine, you know? It helped.

lol, I miss talking to me too! How's the estate paperwork coming along? Worst part of being an adult, really, dealing with loss and legal bullshit at the same time. In the words of Lincoln I hope you can 'endeavor to persevere'

And after that, you can go back to carrying on... a Man-O-War song (cover possibly) rings to mind. Possibly all that 2nd hand hairspray in the 80's affected my memory
