The old magazines they have there are absolutely timeless treasures. Also I'll do my best to get more people on that petition.

Thank you!
@Aalasteir I live where that was filmed and the city almost looks a bigger tip these days than when it got bombed in the movie
@Yomuchan yeah I like to go back and read old issues of the Nintendo magazine that I would buy as a kid.
@Chris that is insane!
I used to use Lost Media for my searches so I could find that information and upload it to the Internet Archive, but unfortunately, I don't use it anymore.
I would use it more often, if I could figure out the convoluted and highly specific search system. I'm begging to think it's more of an issue of folks not typing down in metadata whats on the covers of everything though
@ADR3-N Valve didn't respond but did take some action quietly, they ban cheater bots without telling players (they give update that they are removing bots), but we players saw some diffrence in TF2 stats globaly, when the cheater bot crisis started, we saw that around 70,000 players where active, but in reality those numbers was caused by bots, you see, in TF2 we have 3 kind of bots, cheater bots, trade bots and idle bots, but Valve was focused on cheater bots, they didn't focused on trade bots and idle bots (idle bots was numbered in 10,000).
When #fixtf2 ended, Valve actually take this very important situation to their heart and finally ban those cheater bots and their bot hosters (cheater bots hosters), their discords, steam accounts etc.
Good. Cheaters ruin the game for everyone. If you have even 5 cheaters in a pool of 100 players, everyone starts doing it just to have a chance at surviving the round, and no one has any fun.
@ADR3-N PM me if you know any. If the price is right ill actually put my money where my mouth is.

I've got that one saved in my bookmarks. I don't know if they're the cheapest, but they offer some pretty nice packages!
Unfortunately, even though I used the translator to read the message properly, I had trouble understanding the topic 😅
What is Internet Archive? And how did it help you in terms of music? 😁✌️
Internet Archive is similar to an online library, where people upload all sorts of stuff. That means games, movies, samples, books and articles. They also have a webpage archive browser extension, which you can use to "preview" dead webpages and save living ones.
The most helpful out of these for me has been the samples and software saved there, of course. Secondarily, I use the webpage archive for research.
I have just signed this petition because I want to preserve this precious treasure of the Internet.
hell yeah, signed. internet archive is awesome and it shall live on.
I haven't read on the results in the last few days of the petition/case. Have you seen any updates?
@ADR3-N it's at 90454 votes as of right now, dunno about any other updates though.
That's awesome. Just a few weeks ago it was only at 50k
What do you use the Archive for?
My main use of the Internet Archive was mainly for semi-academic studies. I mean when I study something for personal search of knowledge one of first steps is Wikipedia which allows me to reach different websites and most of them are also archived in the way machine. Without them I would be unable to gain some knowledge. I said "was" because recently I am also using the site to see how internet used to look back when I didn't even have a pc or internet connection (notably NG). The archive has a lot of potential that I want to explore even more its functionalities. W Internet Archive! I'm not joking if I label it as one of the most important invention in the digital sphere after Internet itself.
I completely agree.
You can even use it in some cases to view newgrounds content unpublished by the author or for copyrighted music. Though, I mostly use it to research magazines, sample creators, different techniques for making music, and art/world history.
Also -- literally any site I come across that happens to have died.
For example, Xena Warrior Princess, one of my favorite shows, has many, many buried fansites that lived back during its TV run. I like to read how the audience perceived each episode, and how that compares to today's general public's reaction.
I've mentioned already the other computer music magazine old stuff I've been using it for lately. It's just a wealth of resources for inquiring minds.
Not surprisingly, since archival is not exactly automatic, many, many sites are unfortunately lost to time. I got the web extension to contribute, for that reason.

He who controls the past, controls the future. So it stands to reason, to never let these Soyfilled CATTLE anywhere near the ARKive. Lest they defile it and make it shitty like the rest of the net.
Ill spread the word to the circles i frequent, but we NEED to be more proactive.
Im talking about stickers with this link and a catchy line to be stuffed all around the city, im talking about getting YTers and Twitch streamers to talk about it, im saying Americans doing what they do best and just Ghettoblast this situation into everyones ears.
Because a lot of people stand by what the Archive does, but they aint aware of it.
We need to change that.

They're pretty close to defiling it as is -- the last scandal was the lawsuit over its free library, which forced them to only loan out most copies. That means for some of these rare books, if the archive goes, so do they!
If you're serious about posting stickers of Internet Archive around the city, there are sites that allow you to order QR code stickers with custom logos. Usually for pretty cheap!
