@ADR3-N oh yea, for sure. I already swapped pcs once. Learned my lessons. All my programs, vsts, individual track settings have all been backed up. I have a whole 2tb drive dedicated as my DAW Backup Files and song back ups. I'm prepared to upgrade when the time comes ?
peace out

I forgot, is that an Usher quote?
I'm glad you will have better equipment!
I keep my fingers crossed for successful data migration.
A better GPU will also help with GPU-based Audio Plugins which are now becoming a reality.
GPU Audio are the leaders in that space right now and are 100% worth checking out: https://www.gpu.audio/products
(Their plugins are also free right now!)
Certain plugins both now and planned for the future will let you offload processing onto the GPU directly, which can allow for far more bang-for-buck setups, since you can offload onto the GPU if your CPU is maxxed out @ 100% constantly in larger projects/templates. VSL have also collaborated with GPU Audio to get MIR Pro 3D to run off GPU-acceleration, so I'd imagine more devs would look to collaborate or do their own stuff in that space as time goes on
That's so freaking awesome! Thank you so much. I'll have to share this in my end of month plugin boost. I'll tag you if you don't mind just in case there is something you missed/want to share to the pub resource channel!
Congrats on dem video views and record!
I guess the new PC's up and running now that the new freebie list's up I guess? *fiongers crossed if not*

New powerful PC is always exciting! GL, can't wait to see what you churn out after the switch is completed

We will see! I'm thinking the video card won't do much for the front end, but a larger SSD and a faster processor should make a pretty big difference. Plus DDR5 RAM that I plan to upgrade to max capacity. Right now I'm just getting hung up trying to bring over all my plugs, some of which I've lost licenses for, and others which I don't recall. I should have made a big list before I dropped the HDDs, expecting these newfangled DLLs and VST3s to behave like they did last time I swapped PCs. It was as easy as drag and drop back then.
So far, okayish. I did have a few scares where Melodyne was crashing the daw on load-up. Fixed that by just not letting it update.
If you ever switch PCs, save all your installers for every single program to removable media, make a list of DAW, audio processors, VSTs, and find those installers. Do the same. I'm going to have to go a'diggin' for what I copied over that didn't work the first go round for that reason.
