Hmm politics and shitposting? Seems we might be talking of different things now, but yeah, a lot of users seem to post just to post, and trolling's become like an artform too... bit strange when the different strains of response all mesh together, and amidst them some people try to have a serious convo... at least that's the General way. All forums seem to have different cultures. Different regulars. Different vultures. Different steps of trust. Different... such words.

If you're seeing this, it's because you posted a comment to my newspost. Can't fp anything today, but just letting you know, the Review Crew roster will be posted asap, and we will commence our meetings, votes, and events.

As of right now, I'm thinking bi-weekly meetings, monthly events, and open membership, with the exception of one rule: spam reviews for points and get booted from the club/events.

Events may include but not be limited to select contributors from a given portal, Classic Portal sprees, unscouted art/audio, select game jams, etc. I will make a Google form for the purposes, so be sure to vote. Also make sure to suggest new events and keep an eye out for upcoming competitions on the site. I would love for all of us to participate in reviewing entrants into @dj-Nate's competition, speaking of.

I could probably also use someone to help with spreadsheets like @ChronoNomad -- at least until @byteslinger gets NGStats working with a from-today or date-range set. I've been thinking about asking her how she gets our Barracks roster working, and how to do that for reviews. NGLogs still doesn't track art reviews, so that's out of the question.

In the future, I hope to have prizes on hand for events. I can sustain cheap giftcards, but right now, that's cutting into my equipment money. I'm one of those rare few who hasn't whored myself out totally to Patreon yet.

How can boredom possibly occur with such a gargantuan array of creative artistry, always overflowing at the brim! :O Wish I had endless supplies of time to spend just wading through all this wonderful and witty work, but alas, too much good stuff/too little good time... about the cats: one in a cage and one beside it? Sounds like it'll be hard to sleep with that going on...

Regarding New Review Crew Check-in: sounds promising! :D Gatherings via newsposts here, or an official topic later on? Having short-lived Supporter Upgrades could be a cool prize to have for some events too; keep revenue on site. Could contribute some of that for special occasions.

Thoughts on sending out an invite on this to everyone on the Top Reviewers list? If so pre-launch? later?

Sorry about not replying right away...been on the road for business (good thing). I think I can work up a variation of your stat pulling derived from NGStats. Need a few details, if you please:

1) how frequently do you want to poll the data? Based on your post, I'm thinking weekly, but it might also be on-demand.

2) how big is your list? Top 300? 500?

3) what fields / info do you need to pull? What calculations do you require?

4) how do you determine ranking?

I have the basis for complete polling on NGSTATS but it polls 3000+ users in one sitting, on a monthly basis for now. As I discussed with you previously I will eventually merge NGLOGS and NGSTATS, so these routines /program modules I will add for you will ultimately be used in the final product.

Let me know the details and I will start work on it asap.
