So horrible, it's actually good. Better music would have been nice though.

CrappyPaintPapa responds:

Thanks! Thats actually the point of them, crappy paint skills :)) I'll upload more.

Decent animation. Ended too abruptly.

netcad3d responds:

It is true. But this is just a study with Synfig and I had some limitations

Pretty awesome installment. I'm genuinely saddened to hear there may not be another. I was just getting into it. :(

I do have to say, some of the animation is a bit laggy and choppy -- or just not natural, such as the straightening fingers at some points. This looks like MMD though so I can understand.

Voice actors are also mixed a little strange. Distorts at some points.

However, as a whole, it transcends its parts, and the story overtakes any animation issues. Very nice work, all involved. There isn't a single point where it feels disingenuous, and that's an achievement.

Kel-chan responds:

If I do do another episode, it will be using 2d animation. I'm going to try a test on another series, if it works out well then maybe we can come back to this

I would have rated higher if the music that was supposed to loop didn't fade, then abruptly come back in. If you're gonna do a speedpaint here, choose some good, non-copyrighted music (preferably from our portal, so we don't have to worry about breaking any licenses), credit it properly, and if your drawing is slow-paced, speed it up until the action starts happening. A poorly edited video with poorly edited music is gonna get a poor score!

Arielf05030 responds:

It was my first time but thanks I guess

Not much animation going on here, not even mouth movements, and the faces are a little smushed vertically, which is strange. It's good that the music is royalty free, so this doesn't represent a potential legal threat in terms of copyright, but there's plenty of good producers here to meet your needs. Google, who owns YT, does everything it can to stamp NG into the ground, so it's disheartening when people use music from there, really. Other than that, there wasn't much action going on -- maybe a little humor. Looking forward to something happening next time.

Supahninja responds:

Thanks for the feedback brotha looking forward to getting better.

Character looks fantastic. Actual running animation is very smooth but also really unrealistic and wonky. Arms should come up a little higher and there should be some side to side motion, as well as bobbing

LeonDaydreamer responds:

Thanks EDM364. Well, it's hand-drawn so it's not changing. :)
By bobbing I assume you mean head... I was going to try and mount a talking mouth (when the character is speaking) and eye blinks onto the head, but if that doesn't integrate well then the bobbing is plan B.

Your animation isn't bad, itself. I'd give a much higher score if everything were colored in, and if the lines were more cleanly drawn. Also, make sure you're not using any copyrighted music, or you could have your submission removed. This sounds like a song I remember hearing on internet radio, but I can't place the name. Be careful.

Keep up the good work! You just might have what it takes to make it big if you're consistent. :)

SrTomDub responds:

Thanks! :3 I'll make sure to keep a steady stream of stuff.
Oh and the music was labled [FREE] so i assumed i could use it :0

Im not very good at coloring stuff (i know this because whenever i color stuff it looks worse than the linework by itself) but ill keep practising that :)

Not bad. Some clumsy applications but that's to be expected as a new animator. Keep plugging at it! Higher frame rates are your friend when it comes to smooth frame by frame!

emisen95 responds:

Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it :D

Pretty damn legit. Nice work! The vocalist could use work, too much reverb, but that isn't your fault. Good stuff

shycohardstuff responds:

Cool! Thanks.

Decent, but you could really use a new mic, and the white background and length are a detractor

raNDumb80six responds:

thankyou for your advice. What is this detractor?
