Holy Shit! Mixcraft Dev Actually Gave Me Free Mixcraft!

Posted by ADR3-N - March 2nd, 2016

You heard me. This guy right here actually gave me free Mixcraft 7 in exchange for that tutorial last post, when I had just made a video not a day before on how to hack the registry so the buy audios on the trial wouldn't interrupt playback. Feeling hella grateful, not to mention utterly surprised. Holy shit. Life is good.

Also, got a copy of Life is Strange from a school buddy, and my gf surprised me with Final Fantasy Type-0, which I'd been wanting a PSVita for for years. I'm stoked!

A bunch of good things happened to a Newgrounds user?! Hory Sheet! Nice to know someone here has the touch when it comes to bodging the registry. I had a feeling that guy would come through!

I'm glad he did. Now my life is 100% easier in terms of producing. Maybe he only gave me the key knowing Mixcraft 8 is hot on its heels and I'll have to buy that if I want to catch up with sidechaining and such. Built in sharing is NOICE though.

How are things with you?

Eh, so-so. Had to wait a half an hour for a cheap sammich and now my tonsils are infected, almost thought it was the start of strep. Gonna have some spicy Thai food tonight, that should help!

Ouch. Try salt water on those tonsils if the hot food doesn't help. I know the acids can hurt like hell. Spice usually does better for my sinuses in my experience.

On another note, FF Type-0 is excellent :D

Crap I waited so long for it, forgot to ask for a thing of hot sauce >:( I took a mucus thinner and half a antihistamine, broke it up nicely. Just can't handle certain germy dusts I guess

Eh? Final Fantasy and Type O Negative? There's an FF note? Like 'the brown noise'?

Yikes, well, I'm glad you're making headway. Does it seem to be clearing up?

It's about a class of cadets whose country is invaded by a fascist militant regime, and their defenses were totally disabled. It's your job to turn around a war, basically.

I had a nasty head cold and flu one summer in the late 90's, back when I was working construction and consumer research at the same time (now how's that for completely different careers?) My sinuses haven't been the same since. Sevenseize told me about a garlic/salt gargle thing, once I get the details, I'm gonna try it.

Ah so it is a FF game, but heavy on the strategy and action. It's weird but the last FF game I played was a demo for FF VII on the PC, which was good! Thanks for the recommendation, I'll see if I can't get it on torrent (shhhh). Really need a game plan to finish Fallout 4, not happy with the branching towards the end.

Hmm, must have been the dust and all that what wrecked your sinuses. Peppers, garlic, onion, etc., are all good for that. And menthol!

I ended up going with the Institute, but that's just because I think in reality the eggheads are the only ones that could rejuvenate the wastes and remove the radiation. I don't really approve of the way they're treating the synths, but the way they wipe the slates of the disobedient ones to me is better than actually killing them. Most of them seem like they actually enjoy their work. It's only the rowdy synths that try to escape.

Anyway, yeah. FF Type-0 is seriously fun. The military strategy and graphics are a little disproportionate and weird, but it's been a joy to play. A lot less grinding for me, too. Side-quests can get annoying, and so can traveling, but overall, it's the best combat I've had besides FF7 Dirge of Cerberus. 12 or so characters to learn how to play, free movement and swapping party leaders, and no auto-battling. Still, it makes me miss FF12's gambits, where you could set your party to perfect efficacy and watch them tear down a boss in perfect harmony, like a pseudo intelligent robot army, instead of having to hit a crit spot that quickly vanishes. There's even a "secret training" feature you can set one character to do at the arena, which essentially means it saves your game, and you come back hours later to find your character leveled up.

IDK man, I grew up watching Star Trek and Blade Runner, 80's stuff that asked, "Can we construct sentience?" The synths in the game seemed like more than an advanced Eliza (bot) program... lol, I found the easter egg with Decker and the lead Replicant on a roof somewhere, spotted it from a distance :3 Also pissed, that after I freed the synths under Bunker Hill (no witnesses yo), the Minutemen, my homies, opened fire on me afterwords >:( Shortsighted programming if you ask me, but I'll try again.

Thanks for the secret training tip! Is it me, or are quality and/or abundant walkthroughs in short supply these days? I still find the html guides slightly more dodgy and gappy than the old text files. Another sea-change in the online reference world?

I miss watching stuff like that. Today's shit is asking the wrong questions and focusing on the fireworks. About the synths, you gotta talk to the minutemen and get them to stand down first, I think. They never fired on me. Hope this doesn't make everyone hostile!

No prob. I got plenty more, like using fertilizer and plastic (to make jet, which is easy to find as well), to turn you into a rich, high level, time-slowing god. :P

Sure hope the DLC is worth it, already paid for it... gotta be some other drugs and foods you could make. Cat meat's gotta be good for something! I think the dev said everything would come in handy, but I'm through picking up burnt magazines and books. I'm working on a female character now, at least her VA work seems better, much like it was in the ME series.

Still kinda surprised there aren't any good walkthroughs for Fallout 4 yet, guess those are the perils of playing a new game. Also trying to go for 100% in GTA 5 for some reason.
